Historia Corta en Ingles
Once upon a time, there was a lazy lion who lived in a dense forest. He did not like to hunt for his food, so he decided to make a deal with the other animals. He said that he would spare their lives if they agreed to send one of them every day to his cave as his meal. The animals were terrified of the lion, so they agreed to his terms.
Every day, the lion would wait in his cave for his food to arrive. He enjoyed eating different kinds of animals, such as juicy deer, tender sheep, and crunchy monkeys. He never thanked them for their sacrifice, nor did he care about their feelings. He was a cruel and selfish king of the forest.
One day, it was the turn of the rabbits to send one of their own to the lion. They chose a clever rabbit who had a plan to trick the lion. He took a long time to reach the lion’s cave, making sure to stop at every bush and flower along the way. When he finally arrived, the lion was furious. He roared at the rabbit, and said “Why are you so late? I am starving!”

The rabbit said, “I am sorry, Your Majesty, but it is not my fault. There was another lion in the forest who wanted to eat me. He said that he was the real king of the forest, and that you were a fake. He was huge and strong, and he had a shiny mane and sharp teeth. He almost caught me, but I managed to escape. He is probably on his way here to challenge you for your throne.”
The lion was shocked and angry. He said, “What? Another lion? How dare he? Where is he? Show me where he is, and I will teach him a lesson. He will regret messing with me, the mighty king of the forest!”
The rabbit said, “Follow me, Your Majesty, and I will show you where he is. But be careful, he is very dangerous.” The rabbit led the lion to a deep well that was filled with water. He said, “There he is, Your Majesty. He is hiding in that well. Can you see him?”
The lion looked into the well and he saw his own reflection in the water. He thought that it was the other lion who looked exactly like him. He was enraged. He said, “How dare he copy me? He is a cheeky and arrogant impostor. I will show him who is the boss. I will jump into the well and fight him to the death!”
The lion leaped into the well, hoping to attack the other lion. But he only met his own doom. He drowned in the water, and his body floated to the surface. The rabbit watched from the edge of the well and said, “That was the end of the lazy lion who was fooled by his own pride. He learned the hard way that greed and cruelty do not pay. He also learned that brains are better than brawn.”
The rabbit ran back to the forest and told the other animals what had happened. They were all delighted and grateful. They thanked the rabbit for his cleverness and bravery. They celebrated their freedom from the lion’s tyranny. They lived happily ever after in the forest, where they shared their food and helped each other.
The moral of the story is:
Do not be lazy and greedy, or you will fall into your own trap. Do not be cruel and selfish, or you will lose your friends. Do not be proud and foolish, or you will be outsmarted by your enemies. Be clever and kind, and you will be rewarded.
